Screenkey 0.2 released!
A few days ago I released the first version of Screenkey which was reviewed positively by OMG! Ubuntu!, Korben and Linux und Ich.
Now, I’m happy to announce the release of Screenkey 0.2. This release includes
- A preferences dialog to adjust size and position
- Two keyboard modes (normal and raw)
- Command line options (see –help)
- Some bug fixes
The next release will include support for Launchpad translations, save session to file and more keyboard modes (specific vim and emacs key bindings).
Thanks to Ivan Makfinsky for Fedora packaging and thanks to everyone who reported problems and made suggestions for improvement!

Hi swims,
I will include that feature in future releases. Unfortunately at this moment I have a lot of work, but I will try to add it soon.
Thanks

Cyrilic symbol is not supported.
And programms work little bad on KDE (kubuntu 10.04). Options and About not work.

I run Arch Linux. It is working okay. The only problem is that when I Right Click and click in “preferences” it does not show the preferences and then they keys strokes stop showing in the screen and even right click does not work any more. Then I have to pkill screenkey and start over. Tried with –debug option but I didn’t got any messages as well.

Hi Fernando,
Could you please post your pygtk version? And it would be great if you can add a bug report on https://bugs.launchpad.net/screenkey
Thanks

Here, pygtk is version 2.22.0-1
Thanks for helping and for the amazing program.
You see, one thing that I can’t find in other similar software, is that in Screenkey, when we type Ctrl-) it actually shows the ) instead of showing 0, as it happens in onthers I have tried. It is wonderful.
